Having a baby in your tummy is the best ever feeling in the world as these special months are so satisfying and full of pleasure. It feels totally different when you have something in your belly. When you are about to give birth to your child you are in the mid of life and death. When you are at home, you don’t have any need to worry about anything but a doctor. What of you are going to give birth in the hospital? You will have to care about a lot of things. You will have to carry a lot of necessary things with you otherwise; you would be engaged in serious problems. You will be in need of these necessary things at the time of labour when you will be in the maternity ward. So, your hospital bag must contain the entire necessary thing that will be helpful to you at that time. There is a lot to pack and you might need more than one bag to pack your necessary luggage.

You might be wondering what to pack and what to not? As you will be in a hurry so you must be prepared fully in order to leave at the time of labour or if you are admitted to the hospital you must already possess all necessary items. You might need a couple of different hospital bags to pack the luggage. So things don’t get messy and everything remains sorted out to be picked out easily when you need it, without looking here and there in the same bag.

What are those bags? Those bags include one for labour, one for baby, one for your partner and lastly one for yourself.

So what is going to be in your couple of hospital bags?

Your hospital bags must contain the following essentials:

  • Birth plan
  • Medical notes
  • Maternity bra
  • Maternity clothing for labour that iscomfortable and loose for relaxation.
  • Snacks, drinks and waterfor labour
  • Snacks, water, cereal bars, small juice boxes to get post-birth for energy

  • Flannel
  • Underwear, that are comfortable and soft
  • 1 pack of maternity pads
  • Nursing bra
  • Breast pads
  • Smart-looking, loose maternity comfortableclothing
  • Nightwear with front-opening choices will surely make breastfeeding much easier

  • Aromatherapy oils, if you think you will need it
  • Make-up, not all the accessories but just little bit for touchup for the first baby and mum picture.
  • Hot water bottle might be helpful for backache
  • Sleep bras,
  • Plastic water jug

There is nothing perfectly packed every time when we think that we are fully prepared. There are some things that have left behind and some are overloaded. So if you think that something necessary has been left at home while you are in the hospital and you need that thing, you can go home and fetch that for the use. There is never any problem for you if you need anything urgently and you don’t have time to go back home and then come back rushing through the traffic, you can instead purchase the thing from nearest utility store on payment. This will not cost you much as it will be beneficial to you, this saves your time.

You must not worry about many things that the hospitals themselves provide to every patient. The hospital provides towels, nipples, and sanitary wares. So I think that you don’t have any need to pack these things or if you have packed you have the choice to let them packed and use the ones provided by the hospital. This will not only save the space for other necessary things but your luggage will be somewhat light in weight with the saving of time.

As mentioned earlier that labour can happen anytime so you must be prepared fully in case of emergency. When the time of delivery is about to come you have to leave everything and go for delivery. In this time you will not get a single minute to pack anything. So, when to pack all of necessary items? Packing of a hospital bag is a pretty lovely task and they must be packed by around 35 weeks of pregnancy. Some ladies pack their bags earlier while some put this task at the last moment. It is because every baby comes in its time and before the time it can never come out. There is not a specific date for baby to come out so, you must be prepared for every type of situation.

As you will be living in a hospital during your labour so your partner can’t just lug too much stuff around the ward. It seems like you have got all the things necessary or not, as you have shifted in the hospital permanently. For the first night of labour and the next day, you will be in need of just labour bag so you can bring just this one bag. When you need the other bags your partner can fetch them for you later. In this way, you can ask for different things that you forgot to pack in the luggage bags. You can ask your partner to take that thing to you when you need it.

There is a page for yourself and your partner that your partner will bring to you two or three days after the labour. What would be in that bag? Let’s reveal this:-

  • Maternity pads
  • 2 nursing bras
  • Underwear,
  • Change of nightwear
  • Comfy and loose clothing
  • Comfy outfit for yoy to go home in
  • Ear plug for yourself or your partner in case the ward is too noisy at the night time
  • Nipple cream

You will need these couple of things later the labour. So be prepared, be happy and in the last God bless you with a sweet baby.
